This Sunday’s ride comprises 40 gentle miles of delightful flat/undulating countryside to Knockin via West Felton.
No major bumps.
The route takes us through Montford Bridge, onto Little Ness (with roadside stop for elevenses), Ryton 11 towns, West Felton, then over the A5 to lunch at the Bradford Arms. Please let Max know if you want lunch so he can book a suitable table.
After lunch we’ll proceed through Kinnerley past the Merlin Radio Telescope, onto Melverley, Coedway then return via Cruckton and Arscott.
The short stretch along A458 /Welshpool rd was hairy when i recced it on Tuesday with traffic overtaking at 60mph. I propose we use the walkway and cross on foot if it’s busy.
The weather forecast has improved but Max will keep an eye on it and make a call late Saturday.
