Got to Greyfriars to find floodwater over the railings, but only Julian waiting by the memorial. Eventually located John, Chris and Sally round the corner and we set off up Underdale to avoid the flood.
A potter through some very muddy lanes found us at the pub in Harmer Hill for a very welcome hot meal plus pint for £5.40. Norman joined us there, but didn’t continue with us because he’d got the wind behind him on the way home!
The rest of us took a rather direct route home (chilly headwind=excuse) to end up with about 30ml – OK for the first time out in two weeks.
